The ornamented design is “Indispensable, like feathers on a bird, natural, like the shell of an oyster; belongs there like scale on fish, leaves on a tree, flower on a plant.” (F.L.Wright)
Providing general lighting, the enormous flowers grow from the pillars, giving optical intimacy to the space. Floral inspiration, folklore motifs and techniques, the use of various materials such as coarse stone, engraved stone, mosaic tiles, wood and glazed ceramic objects create balance of emphasizing/de-emphasizing.
